(August 31st) If you have the chance, make your way to the Detroit International Jazz Festival. It is one of the top jazz events in the nation and the incredible music plays for several days straight. Eric had to suffer through an entire day of nothing but non-stop jazz for nearly 12 hours straight. Everyone was soaking in the atmosphere which included a wide variety of street performers.
We did take a quick break from the music for lunch when I snapped this interesting reflection (at least I think it's interesting).
Of course the music is the main attraction. The closing event for the night was a battle of two big bands. Can you believe that this director is 90? The music sure didn't sound it!
